Inspired by jazz-composers of Scandinavia and USA, Lars Møller's compositions have a distinctive personal voice. Intelligent and melodic, his music show a broad awareness of contemporary trends, including his love of Indian music. His touch for Big Band writing has traces of influence from Bob Brookmeyer, whom he studied with from 1996 to 1998. His work as a composer was in 1998 awarded the honorary prize from the Danish Jazz Beat and Folk Authers Society (DJBFA).
